Officials tabulating figures at the local Supervisor of Elections Office have provided voter totals as of the morning of Aug. 18.
Here's what we know:
Of 34,841 votes registered as of 8:20 a.m. on Aug. 18, 18,496 are mail ballots, 13,832, were from early voting, and 2,513 were from voting on Election Day.
That makes for a voter turnout, so far, of 34,841, which is 13.09% of the 266,192 eligible voters.
The polls remain open until 7 p.m. today, Aug. 18.
Registered Republicans lead the way in voting so far, with 19,588 casting votes. For registered Democrats, 12,155 have voted. Among those with no party affiliation, 2,684 have voted. Among those characterized as "other," 455 have voted.
Early voting ran Aug. 8-15. On only one of those days, Aug. 9,
did fewer than 1,000 people show up at the polls. The busiest early voting day was Aug. 15, when 2,552 people voted.
