Two pedestrians were hit and killed in separate traffic crashes at different locations in Marion County late on July 27 and early on July 28.

Which one? Florida Highway Patrol.
Where and when did the crashes happen?
The first crash, on State Road 326 just east of Northwest 40th Terrace, happened at 11:10 p.m. July 27.The second crash was at 1:25 a.m. July 28. It happened on Interstate 75 southbound at the U.S. 27 overpass.
What happened in the July 27 crash? According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 76-year-old man was walking within the eastbound inside lane of SR 326 in front of a vehicle. The vehicle struck the man, who was taken to a local
hospital, where he died.
The vehicle driver, a 28-year-old man from Reddick, was not injured, FHP said.
What happened in the July 28 crash? A big rig was southbound on I-75 in the center lane when a pedestrian on the overpass darted into the roadway, directly in front of the semitractor-trailer, FHP said.
As of 7 a.m. July 28 troopers had not yet identified the victim. The truck's driver, a 50-year-old man from Loganville, Georgia, was not injured.
