2 of the high school football season has arrived in a rush.

Following the season openers last Friday, we get an early shot of action on Thursday this week, as Forest goes to Gainesville for a matchup with Eastside.

Then Friday's schedule bumps up from there. South Marion gets its first in-county game, taking on West Port at Dunnellon, while North Marion continues its county tour against Trinity Catholic.

In other games, Vanguard takes on another traditionally strong opponent in Norland out of Miami, and Belleview goes for a 2-0 start.
