No-excuse absentee voting will be available in Greene County from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 1 at two locations ahead of the Aug. 4 election.
Greene County Clerk Shane Schoeller announced the additional voting opportunity, according to a community announcement. Eligible voters may cast absentee ballots in person at the Greene County Elections Center, 1126 N. Boonville Ave. in Springfield, and The Library Center, 4653 S. Campbell Ave. in Springfield.
In-person no-excuse absentee voting also remains available through July 31 and Aug. 3 at the two sites. Hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Elections Center and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at The Library Center.
Identification required
Voters casting absentee ballots in person must present an approved form of photo identification.
Accepted identification
includes:
- A nonexpired Missouri driver's license or non-driver license.
- A nonexpired military ID, including a veteran's ID card.
- A nonexpired United States passport.
- A photo ID issued by the United States or the state of Missouri that does not have an expiration date.
- A photo ID issued by the United States or the state of Missouri with an expiration date that is not expired or expired after Nov. 6, 2024.

The Greene County clerk's office said in the announcement that the Aug. 4 ballot includes federal, state and local candidates, four statewide issues and a tax question for the city of Ash Grove.
