The Springfield Art Museum will mark its 100th anniversary with a public panel discussion and book signing centered on a new publication that chronicles the institution’s history.
The event will feature author and Curator of Art Sarah Buhr and, according to a community announcement, will explore the people, events and milestones that helped shape the museum over the past century.
The program is scheduled for Aug. 29 at The Library Center's Hatch Auditorium, 4653 S. Campbell Ave. in Springfield. Doors open at 2:30 p.m. with light refreshments. The panel discussion begins at 3:30 p.m., followed by a question-and-answer session and book signing.
