What is the story about?

City Utilities will provide free rides on all transit services for Election Day on Aug. 4 and all future elections, according to a news release.

The City Utilities Transit Center, 211 N. Main Ave., is also a central polling location during elections, where all Greene County residents can cast their ballot.

"This initiative is designed to improve accessibility, reduce transportation barriers and help ensure all residents have a convenient way to reach their polling place and participate in the democratic process," the news release said.

Riders are encouraged to download MyRide SGF, the official CU transit app, which helps riders plan trips, check stop times and track buses.

The app is free and available in all app stores.
