A Cassville man died Saturday, Sept. 26 in Barry County after his boat capsized on Table Rock Lake.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol's drowning incident report, the driver of the boat, who was 58 years old, made a sharp right turn and lost balance, causing the boat to capsize. The driver went under the water and did not resurface. The incident occurred at 5:17 p.m. Saturday, a mile southeast of Eagle Rock and involved a 1991 Yamaha watercraft, according to the report.

This is the fourth boating fatality in 2026in the MSHP Troop D, which covers the southwest part of the state.
