SPRINGFIELD — Missouri State men’s soccer continues to rise in the national polls.
The Bears are now ranked No. 9 in the country in the latest United Soccer Coaches poll on Tuesday, Sept. 22. Missouri State is one of seven teams in the national poll that are undefeated.
This is the first time the Bears have reached a top-10 ranking since 2023. A top-10 ranking for the Bears has occurred four times in the previous seven seasons.
Missouri State sits at 6-0-1 after securing two big results last week. The Bears tied No. 8 Kansas City 3-3 in a thriller. Missouri State jumped back into American Conference action and defeated
Temple 3-0 in Pennsylvania on Sunday, Sept. 20.
Missouri State midfielder Ben Furlong was named the American Conference’s Freshman of the Week for the second time this season. Furlong scored two goals across the Bears’ games against Kansas City and Temple.
The only game this week for the Bears comes on Saturday, Sept. 26. Missouri State hosts South Florida (1-6-1) at 6 p.m.
