SPRINGFIELD — There’s little time to dwell and celebrate Missouri State’s win over Kennesaw State on Wednesday, Oct. 14.
The Bears (2-4, 1-1 in CUSA) are moving on to its next Conference USA clash against Delaware (2-4, 0-2) on Tuesday, Oct. 20. Against the Owls, Missouri State was without three key players on the offensive side of the ball.
Missouri State was down three starters in running back Breezy Dubar, offensive lineman Ryan Mitchell and wide receiver Mekhi Miller.
Casey Woods is confident that Dubar and Mitchell will return to the lineup against the Blue Hens.
“Two guys are concussion guys that I expect we get back this week being Breezy and Ryan,” Woods said.

As for Miller, the fifth-year player suffered an injury during pregame warmups against Kennesaw State. Woods does not know the extent of the injury as of Thursday, Oct. 15.
“Mekhi had a weird thing come up pregame,” Woods said. “We are still doing some more. I don’t have enough information to get you exactly what’s going on with that right now.”
Dubar has rushed for 218 yards, which ranks second-best on the team. He’s also tied with Ramone Green Jr. with two touchdowns for the most on the roster. Mitchell featured on the offensive line in every game before missing the last game.
Miller is Missouri State’s third-best wide receiver option. He has 13 catches for 146 yards.
Injury report for tonight.
