man died after swimming from the shoreline at Moonshine Beach on Table Rock Lake on Saturday, Aug. 1, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol incident report.
A 25-year-old man drowned at Table Rock Lake in Taney County on Saturday at approximately 1:20 p.m. after he swam from the shoreline, started struggling and dropped beneath the water level. The man, from Parkville in the Kansas City area, was pronounced dead on the scene by paramedics, according to the report.
This marks the ninth drowning this year in MSHP's Troop D, which covers the southwest part of the state, but the second at Table Rock Lake in 2026.
