Missouri State (1-2) is tasked with a huge challenge in Week 4. The Bears will head to No. 22 SMU (2-1) for a non-conference matchup on Saturday, Sept. 26.
Earlier in the season, Missouri State received $1.2 million for facing a highly ranked Texas A&M.
Against SMU, Missouri State will not be receiving compensation for the game.
The Bears will not be receiving any money because this is a return trip of a home-and-home series between the two programs.
Last season, SMU traveled to Springfield and defeated the Bears 28-10.
The game contract was signed by former Missouri State athletic director Kyle Moats
on June 21, 2024.
The Bears and Mustangs will kick off at 8 p.m. in Dallas, Texas, on Saturday.
