Entrepreneurs and small business owners can explore local resources and business development strategies at the SGF Business Lab on Oct. 14 at the efactory Jay Wasson Idea Loft in Springfield. In a half-day seminar designed to help participants launch and grow businesses, organizers will provide practical guidance on operating a business in Springfield and connecting with resources available through the efactory, according to a community announcement.
The free event will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 405 N. Jefferson Ave. Lunch will be provided.
Organizers said that this year's program will feature three learning tracks. One track is geared toward people who are starting a business, another is designed for more experienced business owners
and a third will focus on branding, creativity and customer experience.
“The SGF Business Lab serves as a resource for those wanting to start a business, and those existing businesses who are looking for ways to expand their reach,” Samantha Payne, development project facilitator for the City of Springfield, said in the announcement. “Participants will hear from city leaders, connect with experts from the efactory as well as other small business owners."
