The Greene County Clerk’s Office is recruiting Republican and Democratic election judges to work during the Nov. 3 general election.
The positions are open to qualified residents who want to assist voters and support polling-place operations, according to a community announcement. Election judges help with voter check-in, assist with election equipment and work in bipartisan teams to carry out Election Day procedures.
“Election judges are the backbone of Election Day,” Greene County Clerk Shane Schoeller said in the announcement. “Serving as an election judge is a great way to get involved in your community, learn more about how elections are conducted, and help ensure Greene County voters have a positive experience at the polls.”

Under Missouri law, election judges must:

Both experienced election workers and first-time applicants are encouraged to apply, according to the announcment.
Training will be provided before the election and no previous election experience is required. Election judges are paid for their service.
