What is the story about?

NIXA — Adam McKnight is close to having his name engrained in Nixa football history.

Not only has the senior quarterback led the Eagles to back-to-back state title game appearances, McKnight has racked up the stats in his career.

McKnight is approaching Nixa’s all-time passing record.

Connor Knatcal, a 2023 graduate, threw for 4,005 yards. Knatcal’s mark is the most in Nixa history.

So far in his career, McKnight has tossed for 3,919 yards. He is 87 yards shying of becoming the school’s top passer.

Nixa is hosting Republic in a huge battle on Friday, Sept. 11. It's a game where McKnight could officially become the school's top quarterback.

Last week, McKnight threw for 224 yards and two touchdowns against Joplin. He opened the season with 143 yards and one

touchdown over Carthage.

McKnight is committed to play at Missouri State. He is a three-star recruit according to 24/7 Sports and the No. 1 quarterback in the state.
