The 2026 high school football season is fast approaching and a new crop of players will become stars in Section V.
Eighteen teams are slated to play in Class A this fall, a number which could change before the season starts. They are broken into two, 9-team division, with Class A1 schools comprising Brighton, Churchville-Chili, Gates Chili, Hilton, Irondequoit, Spencerport, Victor, Webster Schroeder and Webster Thomas. Class A2 comprises Brockport, Canandaigua, Eastridge, Edison, Greece Arcadia, Greece Athena, Greece Olympia-Odyssey, Vertus and Wilson/Early College.
