High school football has returned to Section V in full.
Dozens of local teams battled under Friday night lights for the first time this season. Here are the top performances from this week's Section V games:
Elijah Ashford, Greece Olympia/Odyssey: Linebacker made 9 tackles, while teammate Tavion Jaque, a defensive back, forced a fumble and made four tackles during a loss to Eastridge.
Johnny Ayers, York/Pavilion: Quarterback had two passing touchdowns and 122 yards, and rushing touchdowns of 67 and 38 yards in a 40-20 win against Red Jacket.
Josh Barr, Irondequoit: Senior receiver had a touchdown reception and a touchdown run to help the Eagles pull away to a 43-21 win over Gates Chili. Barr finished with 51 rushing yards on six carries and 27 rushing yards on four
catches.
Ethan Bauer, Dansville/Wayland-Cohocton: Scored two touchdowns, as he carried eight times for 70 rushing yards during a 34-0 win over Newark/Marion.
Kendred Beachum, Churchville-Chili: Saints defender had a team-high seven tackles to go with an interception in Churchville-Chili's win over Greece Athena.
Juliun Carter, Greece Olympia-Odyssey: Rushed 12 times for 108 yards and returned a kickoff 77 yards for a touchdown in a 61-26 loss to Eastridge.
James Chase, Avon: Running back totaled 222 yards of offense with four touchdowns in the RiverHawks' 52-12 win against Clyde-Savannah. Chase carried nine times for 164 yards on the ground, and also had a 58-yard touchdown reception. He recorded 10 tackles on defense.
Jude Christ, LeRoy/Cal-Mum: Recorded 96 yards and two touchdowns on 13 attempts in the Rivals' 28-24 win over East Rochester-Gananda. Normally a running back, Christ stepped in for quarterback duties in the second half and had the game-clinching first down late in the fourth quarter.
Angel Colon, Geneva: Panthers linebacker was credited with 14 tackles, five solo, during a loss to Letchworth/Perry/Warsaw. Geneva defensive back Ethan Buckley made eight tackles, three solo.
Pierce Dinkins, Alexander/Pembroke: Paced the Defenders' rushing attack with 12 carries for 120 yards while also recording an interception in a 28-12 win versus Penn Yann/Dundee.
Jha'mere Doyle, Rochester Prep: Caused, recovered and returned a fumble 81 yards for a touchdown during a 48-12 loss to Batavia Notre Dame/Byron-Bergen. Doyle also gained 64 yards on six carries, while teammate Zaquan Cohen scored on a 90-yard run and made a team-high eight tackles.

Trent Englert, York/Pavilion: Senior paced his team with 13 solo tackles (two for loss), 72 rushing yards on 11 attempts and one touchdown in a win over Red Jacket. Caleb Gavin (seven tackles), Owen Duke (six tackles, fumble recovery) and Aidan Kobylanski (six tackles) also keyed the defense.
Owen Figler, Greece Athena: Trojans quarterback passed for 285 yards and four touchdowns in Athena's 36-31 loss to Churchville-Chili. Figler connected with Travis Portis (three receptions, 84 yards, 14 carries, 78 rushing yards), Colten Waterman (nine receptions, 117 yards, two TDs) and Colten Figler (five receptions, 49 yards) on his touchdown passes.
Grady Goodberlet, Honeoye Falls-Lima: Caught six passes for 81 yards and a touchdown in a 41-20 loss to Canandaigua.
Gavin Hall, Oakfield-Alabama/Elba: Posted a touchdown and an interception in OAE's 61-8 win against CG Finney/Northstar.
Jesse Jablonsky, Pittsford: Made nine receptions for 118 yards and three touchdowns in the Panthers' 44-22 win at Brockport.
Jaden Jager, Churchville-Chili: Saints runner racked up 204 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 21 attempts in a 36-31 win over Greece Athena. Backfield mate Ocean Minor was right behind with 186 yards and two scores on 10 attempts. Jager scored from 3 and 16 yards, while Minor's runs for 83 (which opened the scoring) and 20 yards.
Ryan Jiang, Irondequoit: Eagles quarterback had two touchdown passes while completing 9 of 12 throws for 92 yards during a 43-21 win over Gates Chili.
Brailon Johnson, Eastridge: Rushed five times for 152 yards and a touchdown while completing 6-of-8 passes for 205 yards and four TDs in a 61-26 win over Greece Olympia-Odyssey.
Anthony Julian, Brighton: Scored a touchdown on a 20-yard fumble recovery amidst the Bruins' 47-27 win against Spencerport.
Myles Kedley, Irondequoit: The top tackler for the Eagles had 10 stops, including a sack, as Irondequoit defeated Gates Chili 43-21. Mason McCullough also had 10 tackles for Irondequoit.
Austin Kierst, Canandaigua: Rushed 14 times for 145 yards and three touchdowns while completing 6-of-14 passes for 47 yards and two TDs in a 41-20 victory at Honeoye Falls-Lima.
Braden Kitchens, Lyons/Sodus: Completed 11-of-17 pass attempts for 176 yards, five touchdowns and two interceptions in a 44-12 triumph against Palmyra-Macedon. Also added 28 rushing yards.
Matt Kosiorek, Hilton: Senior quarterback recorded three total touchdowns (two passing, one rushing) in the Cadets' 59-34 win against Fairport. Kosiorek completed all seven of his pass attempts for 103 yards, and rushed for 61 yards on seven carries.
Justin Medina, Brighton: Rushed nine times for 130 yards and a touchdown while recording 130 all-purpose yards in the Bruins' 47-27 win over Spencerport.
Dominic Mencucci, Red Jacket: Caught a 40-yard touchdown pass from Dillon Janke in the Cardinals' 40-20 loss to York/Pavilion.
George Mirras, Canandaigua: Returned a kickoff 90 yards to give the Gray Wolves the lead for good in their 41-20 win at Honeoye Falls-Lima.
Owen Munding, East Rochester-Gananda: Running back scored twice and had 92 yards on 14 attempts, and hauled in four receptions for 45 yards in a 28-24 loss to LeRoy/Cal-Mum.
Dayton Orlowski, Bath-Haverling: Rushed 10 times for 101 yards and added 70 yards receiving in a 37-0 loss to Canisteo-Greenwood.
Jayden Nelson, Irondequoit: Sophomore running back scored two touchdowns as he carried 17 times for 185 yards during a 43-21 win over Gates Chili.
Brody Pusateri, Pittsford: Completed 15-of-22 pass attempts for 181 yards and five touchdowns in a 44-22 win at Brockport. Also logged 78 rushing yards and a touchdown on the ground.
Tyler Reger, Hilton: Senior running back finished with 97 yards and a touchdown on 10 rushing attempts, and returned a fumble 52 yards for a touchdown in the Cadets' win against Fairport.
Jacob Rombaut, Oakfield-Alabama/Elba: Defender posted 10 total tackles including four for loss as OAE held CG Finney/Northstar to eight points in a season-opening win. Eli Gray added nine tackles.
Devre Sanders, Batavia: Rushed 26 times for 194 yards and a touchdown in a 35-24 loss to Greece Arcadia. Also caught one pass for 16 yards.
Brad Schoenl, Pittsford: Made a 42-yard field goal in a 44-22 win against Brockport.
Hunter Secker, Avon: Quarterback completed three passes, all for touchdowns, with 119 yards in Avon's win against Clyde-Savannah. Secker's scores were to Will Schweitzer (two receptions, 61 yards, two touchdowns) and Eli Rex.
Jahzyree 'Jah Jah' Smith, Lyons: Recorded five receptions for 86 yards and three touchdowns in a 44-12 victory over Palmyra-Macedon. Also returned an interception for a touchdown.
Calvin Starwald, Hilton: Senior linebacker racked up 10 solo tackles, which tied with Luca Auriuso for the team lead, and a sack. Starwald also rushed for 80 yards and a touchdown on offense in Hilton's win over Fairport.
Dawson Stephens, Dansville/Wayland-Cohocton: Scored two touchdowns on his way to 102 rushing yards on six carries during a 34-0 win over Newark/Marion. Stephens also caught two passes, a two-point conversion throw and recovered a fumble.
Keiran Stezel, Irondequoit: Finished with seven tackles, including two sacks and forced a fumble while the Eagles defeated Gates Chili 43-21.
Travis Tolbert, Geneva: Running back had 177 all-purpose yards in a loss to Letchworth/Perry/Warsaw. Tolbert finished with 32 yards and a touchdown on seven rush attempts, three receptions for 23 yards, and 122 kickoff return yards.
Zahmar Tookes, Brighton: Registered nine tackles and a sack in a 47-27 win against Spencerport.
Justin Weathers, Eastridge: His two receptions totaled 110 yards and both resulted in a touchdown during the Lancers' 61-26 win against Greece Olympia-Odyssey.
Jah White, Geneva: Scored a touchdown as he finished with two receptions for 78 yards during a loss to Letchworth/Perry/Warsaw.
