Josh Allen didn't throw an interception in the Buffalo Bills' first two games of the season.
Then he threw two in two passes on Sunday.
The Buffalo Bills quarterback threw picks to Los Angeles Chargers rookie safety Genesis Smith twice in a span of three offensive plays Sunday, including a remarkable pick on Allen's first pass of the second quarter.
Allen took a deep shot for D.J. Moore on a post route on the opening play of the quarter. Moore was double-covered, with Smith running stride for stride with him down the field.
Smith tried to make an over-the-shoulder interception while Moore laid out for the catch. Both players went to the ground and the ball bounced between their hands and facemasks before falling onto Smith's body. Smith rolled onto his
back and secured the ball against his stomach for his second interception.

It was Allen's second interception on consecutive pass attempts.
Smith, a fourth-round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, also intercepted Allen with 3:31 remaining in the first quarter. Allen tried to hit Moore over the middle, and Smith stepped in front of it returned the interception 1 yard to the Buffalo 43.
The Chargers turned the first interception into a Cameron Dicker field goal and a 10-0 lead.
