This week is a mixed bag in Section V football.
Teams in Class A1 and Class A2 are playing win-or-go-home games, with both classifications already in the postseason. Class AA, B, C and D teams have one more regular season game remaining to play this weekend.
There are three games between teams that are in one of two Democrat and Chronicle Super 10 rankings, including University Prep at Pittsford. The Webster Schroeder at Hilton matchup is a Section V tournament game.
East/World of Inquiry plays at Rush-Henrietta, a non-league game between a large school and small school.
The large schools rankings include teams in Class AA and Class A. Class B, Class C and Class D teams are eligible for a spot in the small schools Super 10.
Democrat and Chronicle
writers Justin Ritzel, Jeff Uveino and James Johnson determine the rankings. Each reporter ranks the top 10 large schools and small schools teams in Section V.
The No. 1 teams on each list receive 10 points, the No. 2 teams receive nine points, the No. 3 teams receive eight points and so on.

2. Pittsford (6-1) - Class AA - 26 points - Last week: 2.
Regular season finale: Friday night at Pittsford Sutherland, against University Prep. UPrep has lost back-to-back games for the second time this season. Pittsford is on a five-game winning streak.
3. Rush-Henrietta (6-1) - Class AA - 24 points - Last week: 4.
Regular season finale: The Royal Comets host East High/World of Inquiry on Friday night. East High/World of Inquiry, which competes in Class B, was No. 6 in last week's Class B state rankings. Win or you're done: The Hilton Cadets host a Section V Class A1 tournament quarterfinal Friday against Webster Schroeder. The Webster Schroeder Warriors have a chance to reverse the outcome of their Oct. 2 meeting. Hilton won 56-19 at Schroeder, pushing Rich Lipani to No. 1 on the all-time Section V coaches wins list. 5. Victor (5-2) - Class A - 18 points - Last week: 5.
Win or you're done: The Victor Blue Devils host a Section V Class A1 tournament quarterfinal Thursday against Webster Thomas. Regular season finale: Play the Pittsford Panthers on Friday night at Pittsford Sutherland. The Panthers entered the Class AA state rankings last week, and have won five games in a row. 10. Brockport (5-2) - Class A - 6 points - Last week: 10T.
Win or you're done: The Blue Devils host a Section V Class A2 tournament quarterfinal Thursday as a No. 2 seed against Greece Athena. Section V football Super 10, small schools

1. Monroe (6-0) - Class B - 30 points (3 first place votes) - Last week: 1.
Regular season finale: A home game against Buffalo Canisius, noon Saturday. This is anything but a cupcake heading into sectionals for Monroe, the defending Class B state champion. Buffalo Canisius (3-4) was in the top 10 of the Class AA state rankings last week. Crusaders running back Elijah Kimble, the all-time rushing yards leader among Buffalo region private and public schools, has committed to play at Syracuse University. Monroe is at No. 1 in the Class B state rankings.
2. East High/World of Inquiry (5-1) - Class B - 27 points - Last week: 2.
Regular season finale: Friday night at Rush-Henrietta. The R-H Royal Comets were at the end of the Class AA top 30 state rankings last week. East/World of Inquiry probably keeps a place in the top 10 of the Class B state rankings for small schools. The strongest East/WOI unit is the defense, including lineman Jamie Anderson and defensive back Darius Weathers.
3. Hornell/Arkport/Canaseraga (6-1) - Class C - 23 points - Last week: 5.
Regular season finale: Host the Bath Haverling Rams, Friday night at Hornell. The Rams might need to win this game to advance into the eight-team Section V Class C tournament. Hornell/Arkport/Canaseraga is on a four-game winning streak. The Livingston County-Genesee Region Division I team knocked off undefeated Alexander/Pembroke, the defending Section V Class C champion, 19-13, last week. The win against its division rival pushed Hornell/Arkport/Canaseraga up in this Super 10 ranking.
4. LeRoy/Caledonia-Mumford (6-1) - Class C - 20 points - Last week: 4.
Regular season finale: Face the Livonia Bulldogs on Friday at Caledonia-Mumford. The Livonia Bulldogs are searching for their second win after defeating Wellsville/Genesee Valley/Belfast. LeRoy/Caledonia-Mumford seems assured of hosting a Section V Class C tournament quarterfinal. The Rivals have bounced back from a loss to Alexander/Pembroke with victories over Wellsville/Genesee Valley/Belfast and Letchworth/Perry/Warsaw.
5. Alexander/Pembroke (6-1) - Class C - 18 points - Last week: 3.
Regular season finale: Against Wellsville/Genesee Valley/Belfast on Friday. Wellsville/Genesee Valley/Belfast, another team in Class C and Livingston County Division I, is winless after seven games. Alexander/Pembroke remains in position for the No. 1 seed in the upcoming Section V Class C tournament, despite the team's five-point loss to Hornell/Arkport/Canaseraga.
6. York/Pavilion (6-1) - Class D - 15 points - Last week: 7.
Regular season finale: Host a Livingston County Division 2 game with Geneseo/Mount Morris on Friday night at York. 7. Honeoye Falls-Lima (4-3) - Class B - 10 points - Last week: 6.
Regular season finale: Play in Batavia, a team the HF-L Cougars used to compete with for Section V Class B championships. Batavia is 1-6, including a forfeit loss to Monroe and a 7-6 loss to the Cougars on Oct. 3. HF-L outscored Greece Arcadia last week, 35-2. The Cougars have defeated three of the five teams in Class A on its schedule.
8. Penn Yan/Dundee (5-2) - Class B - 7 points - Last week: Not ranked.
Regular season finale: At Geneva on Friday. The Geneva Panthers and Wayne are two other Wayne-Finger Lakes league teams which match Penn Yan/Dundee's 5-2 record. Penn Yan/Dundee made a nice bounce back from its three-point loss to East Rochester/Gananda, defeating Wayne, 36-26. A win over the Panthers would help Penn Yan/Dundee's cause to host a Section V Class B tournament quarterfinal.
9. Attica (5-2) - Class D - 5 points - Last week: Not ranked.
Regular season finale: Friday night the Attica Blue Devils face Batavia Notre Dame/Byron-Bergen at Genesee Community College. Batavia Notre Dame/Byron-Bergen can put together a third consecutive win after losing back-to-back games Sept. 25 and Oct. 1. Attica is in position to host a Section V Class D tournament quarterfinal, after coming out on top 8-6 last week against Canisteo-Greenwood. This is also a chance to build Attica's winning streak to five games.
10. (tied) Letchworth/Perry/Warsaw (4-3) - Class C - 3 points - Last week: 9T.
Regular season finale: Take on Dansville/Wayland-Cohocton, Friday night at Dansville. Dansville/Wayland-Cohocton plays in Section V Class B, and like Letchworth/Perry/Warsaw, in Livingston County Division I. Letchworth/Perry/Warsaw remains among this Super 10, despite falling 20-15 to No. 4 Caledonia-Mumford/LeRoy. More importantly, Letchworth/Perry/Warsaw still has a place among the top eight in the Section V Class C tournament standings.
10. (tied) Canisteo-Greenwood (4-3) - Class D - 3 points - Last week: 8.
Regular season finale: The Chargers host Rochester Prep on Saturday. Rochester Prep is a winless team in Section V Class B. Canisteo-Greenwood had enough voter support to remain in the Super 10 despite an 8-6 loss to Attica and stayed in the top four of the Section V Class D tournament standings. The top four teams in each classification can host first-round tournament games.
Also received votes: Dansville/Wayland-Cohocton (Class B, 4-3), Oakfield-Alabama/Elba (Class D, 5-2), Wayne (5-2, Class B).
