Allen scored on a pair of 1-yard runs in Buffalo's 24-16 victory over the Los Angeles Chargers, giving him six rushing touchdowns through three games. That total is tied for the NFL lead with Baltimore Ravens running back Derrick Henry.
Allen's second touchdown against Los Angeles also gave him 85 career rushing touchdowns, tying former Bills running back Marshawn Lynch for 17th on the NFL's all-time list.
That is not 17th among quarterbacks.
It is 17th among everyone.
Holmes is immediately ahead of him at No. 16 with 86 career rushing touchdowns. Allen is already the all-time leader in career rushing touchdowns among quarterbacks.
Allen has spent years rewriting the record book for quarterbacks with his legs, but his start to 2026 has pushed him
into territory normally reserved for some of the best running backs in NFL history.
He entered this season with 79 rushing touchdowns in eight years, an average of 9.9 per season. He already has six through three games in 2026.

And that's only one part of Allen's scoring résumé.
He has thrown 225 touchdown passes in his career.
The rushing scores are also pushing Allen toward another piece of Bills history.
Allen has scored 87 total touchdowns for Buffalo when his two career receiving touchdowns are included, tying Andre Reed and Thurman Thomas for the most touchdowns from scrimmage in franchise history.
His next rushing or receiving touchdown will give him the franchise record by himself.
