Bass Pro Shops Outpost is holding a hiring event from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sept. 16 and 17 in the former Lord & Taylor space at Eastview Mall in Victor in anticipation of Bass opening a store there later this year.
The outdoor gear retailer is looking to hire 150 full- and part-time workers.
Job seekers are encouraged to apply in advance at basspro.com/careers and select the Victor location prior to the hiring event, where on-site interviews will be conducted.
Plans were announced last October for the 90,000-square-foot Bass Pro Shops Outpost at Eastview, the retailer’s fifth New York state location.
The company has not revealed an opening date yet.
About Bass Pro Shops

Founded in 1972, Bass Pro Shops are known for their extensive selection of hunting, fishing and camping
gear.
The business began when Johnny Morris started selling fishing tackle out of his father’s liquor store in Springfield, Missouri. The company now operates around 200 stores across North America.
Conservation remains central to its mission. Bass Pro Shops has reported donating more than 10% of its proceeds over the past decade to local environmental causes.
The company also operates White River Marine Group, the world’s largest maker of recreational and fishing boats, and partnered with Textron in 2019 to create a line of ATVs, side-by-sides and sport carts.
