A portion of state Route 14 in Geneva will be reduced to a single lane for a pavement project beginning Tuesday, Aug. 11.
The project, which stretches from Snell Road in the city of Geneva to the Yates County line in the town of Geneva, is expected to be completed by Aug. 27, according to state Department of Transportation officials.
Alternating flows of traffic will be controlled by flaggers from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily except for Sundays. Motorists should anticipate travel delays during this time and are advised to seek alternate routes if possible.
What drivers should remember
Motorists are urged to slow down and drive responsibly in work zones.
Fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. Convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the
suspension of an individual’s driver license.
