Recent polls measuring President Donald Trump's job performance ahead of the 2026 midterm elections show his approval rating near its lowest levels of his second term.
This week's polls have shown Trump's approval rating falling to new lows. As of Sept. 25, Trump had an average approval rating of 34.9% and a disapproval rating of 62.1% among U.S. adults, according to FiftyPlusOne, a polling and elections tracking website that aggregates major polls.
That compares with a 52% approval rating about a month into Trump's second term, according to Rasmussen Reports.
Trump's approval ratings come as Americans continue to express concerns about the economy and his handling of issues including the trade war, immigration enforcement efforts and the ongoing
war in Iran. Recent Marquette Law School polling found Trump's approval below 30% on the economy, tariffs, the war in Iran, gas prices and inflation and the cost of living.
