A 33-year-old Farmington man was arrested after police say he forced his way into an apartment in Canandaigua and assaulted a man over the age of 65.

Corey A. Boor was arrested Sept. 3 and charged with second-degree burglary, second-degree assault, second-degree obstruction of governmental administration and third-degree criminal tampering, according to the Canandaigua Police Department.
Police responded to a residence in the city for a report of an assault. An investigation determined Boor allegedly forced his way into the apartment and attacked the resident, police said.
The victim sustained injuries to his face, head and neck and was taken to Thompson Hospital for further evaluation.
More charges after arrest
Police said Boor refused to be processed after his arrest.
He allegedly repeatedly spit in the back seat of a patrol vehicle and forced himself to vomit, resulting in the additional obstruction and criminal tampering charges.
Boor was taken to the Ontario County Jail for arraignment.
