The Buffalo Bills built Josh Allen a new house.
He didn't waste much time writing the record book inside it.
Allen made NFL history, Joe Brady accomplished something no Bills coach had done before and Buffalo put its new stadium into the record book during a 41-31 victory over the Detroit Lions on Thursday night.
The Bills have scored 77 points through two games. Allen has accounted for nine touchdowns. Greg Rousseau is doing something that hasn't been done by a Bills pass rusher since Bruce Smith.

No NFL player has ever started a season quite like this.
Allen threw three touchdown passes and ran for two more against Detroit
after throwing two touchdown passes and rushing for two scores in Buffalo's 36-31 season-opening win over Houston.
That gives Allen five touchdown passes and four rushing touchdowns through two games.
Allen became the first player in NFL history with at least five passing touchdowns and three rushing touchdowns through the first two games of a season.
Allen has accounted for nine of Buffalo's 10 offensive touchdowns through two games.
Josh Allen extended two NFL records
Allen's combination of passing and running touchdowns isn't new. The frequency is.
Thursday marked the 10th game of Allen's career with at least two passing touchdowns and two rushing touchdowns.
Steve Young is second in NFL history. He did it four times.
Allen also had at least three passing touchdowns and two rushing touchdowns in the same game for the fourth time in his career.
Kordell Stewart is the only other player in NFL history to do it more than once. Stewart did it twice. Allen has now done it twice as many times.
Josh Allen tied a Hall of Fame running back in rushing touchdowns
Allen's second rushing touchdown Thursday was the 83rd of his career, moving him into a tie with Hall of Fame running back Jim Taylor for 18th in NFL history.
Not 18th among quarterbacks. Eighteenth among everybody.
Joe Brady became first Bills coach to start 2-0
The Bills have been playing football since 1960.
They had never had a head coach start 2-0. Until Brady.
Brady became the first head coach in franchise history to win each of his first two games.

THe Bills' offense has been a force.
Buffalo scored 36 points against Houston and 41 against Detroit.
The 77 points are the fourth-most by an NFL team in a head coach's first two games during the Super Bowl era.
Only Bud Carson with the 1989 Cleveland Browns (89), Dan Campbell with the 2015 Miami Dolphins (82) and Mike Martz with the 2000 St. Louis Rams (78) had more.
Bills put new Highmark Stadium in NFL record book
Allen scored the first regular-season touchdown at the new Highmark Stadium.
Then the Bills kept scoring.
Buffalo reached the end zone on each of its first four possessions and raced to a 27-7 lead before finally punting late in the second quarter.
The Bills became the first team since the Dallas Cowboys in 1971 to score at least 27 points in the first half of the first game at a new home stadium. Dallas scored 34 in the first half of its first game at Texas Stadium.
Buffalo finished with 41 points, 446 yards and 34 first downs. The Bills were 5-for-5 in the red zone and rushed for 203 yards.
The last team to score at least 40 points in the first regular-season game at a new stadium was Miami in 1987, when the Dolphins beat Kansas City 42-0 at Joe Robbie Stadium.
Greg Rousseau joined Bruce Smith in Bills history
Rousseau has started the season by getting to the quarterback. Repeatedly.
Rousseau had two sacks of Jared Goff against Detroit after recording two sacks against Houston in the season opener.
He became only the second Bills player to record at least two sacks in each of the first two games of a season.
The other? Bruce Smith in 1996.
Rousseau's four sacks are also the most by a Bills player through two games since Mario Williams had 4.5 in 2013.
“It's been fun to see him grow in the scheme,” Brady said after the game.
Bills have won 32 straight games when leading in fourth quarter
Buffalo has won 32 consecutive games in which it has held a lead at any point in the fourth quarter.
Buffalo entered the fourth quarter leading 34-17. Detroit twice cut the deficit to 10 points, but James Cook's 1-yard touchdown with 2:50 remaining provided the final cushion in a 41-31 victory.
