Week 5 action continued Oct. 3 with some intriguing matchups in Section V football, including two playoff rematches.
Here are Saturday's top individual performances:
Brayden Bacon, Red Jacket: Led Cardinal defense with five tackles, one sack and a fumble recovery in a 36-20 victory over Waterloo.
Keagan Calmes, Batavia:
Rushed seven times for 101 yards and a touchdown in a 7-6 loss at Honeoye Falls-Lima.Carson Conway, Penn Yan/Dundee: Recorded 11 tackles, five tackles for a loss, one sack and one forced fumble in a win over Newark/Marion. Phillip Durso added nine tackles, five for a loss, and a forced fumble.
Benny Feinberg, Honeoye Falls-Lima: Quarterback rushed nine times for 59 yards while completing 7-of-14 pass attempts for 85 yards in a 7-6
win over Batavia. Sam Oliver added nine carries for 43 yards and a TD, and Cam Collins caught four passes for 40 yards.
Greyson Hathway, Penn Yan/Dundee: Rushed 14 times for 193 yards and four touchdowns in 44-6 win against Newark/Marion. Enzo D'Amico added nine carries for 79 yards and a TD, and Brighton Grant rushed six times for 33 yards and a score.
Markel Hill, Batavia: Defended three passes, forced a fumble and recovered a fumble at Honeoye Falls-Lima. Also made three tackles and rushed 15 times for 60 yards.
Roland Goodenough, LeRoy/Caledonia-Mumford: Registered a team-high 13 defensive tackles in 29-14 loss to Alexander/Pembroke.
Thomas Levans, University Prep: Griffins receiver caught two passes for touchdowns among five receptions overall for 132 yards. UPrep defeated Niagara Falls, 34-14. Levans also intercepted a pass. Gavin White had a touchdown reception, while catching three passes for 57 yards.
Brady McClurg, LeRoy/Caledonia-Mumford: Senior quarterback rushed 13 times for 106 yards and a touchdown against Alexander/Pembroke. Jude Christ added five carries for 33 yards and a TD.
Sam Oliver, Honeoye Falls-Lima: Running back had the Cougars' lone touchdown, with 43 yards on nine attempts, in a 7-6 win over Batavia.
Nolan Peterson, Alexander/Pembroke: Junior quarterback threw touchdown passes of 69 and 59 yards in a 29-14 victory over LeRoy/Caledonia-Mumford. Hunter Mast and Connor Czwojdak were on the receiving ends of the touchdowns.
Ryder Reichert, Alexander/Pembroke: Three of his 13 tackles resulted in lost yardage against LeRoy/Caledonia-Mumford. Also recovered a fumble. Devin Wright scored Alexander/Pembroke's first touchdown, when he returned a fumble 31 yards.
Briyceton Thomas, University Prep: Another strong rushing performance, as he scored two touchdowns while gaining 135 yards on 13 carries during a win over Niagara Falls.
Eric Torres III, University Prep: Three touchdown passes versus no interceptions during a win over Niagara Falls of Section VI. Torres finished with 202 yards on 10 of 21 passing.
Barrett Wetherbee, Red Jacket: Rushed 19 times for 153 yards and two touchdowns against Waterloo. Also made four tackles and an interception. Dillon Janke threw two touchdown passes, and Jason Hutson added a rushing TD.
Mysaun White, University Prep: Forced a fumble and finished with seven tackles, including two sacks to help the Griffins defeat Niagara Falls. Cashmere Williams also made seven tackles, two for loss of yardage.
