Joe Brady has seen Josh Allen make a lot of ridiculous throws.
One from this week's Buffalo Bills training camp is going on the teaching tape.
Allen connected with D.J. Moore for a 50-yard touchdown during Tuesday's practice at St. John Fisher University, dropping a deep pass between Christian Benford, Maxwell Hairston and Cole Bishop that Moore tracked down for an over-the-shoulder catch.
It was the best throw-and-catch combination of Bills training camp.
A few days later, Brady was still thinking about it.
"It was a practice rep, but one of the most impressive throws I've ever seen live," Brady said Friday.
And there was more to the play than Allen simply showing off his arm.
Brady said Allen made the correct read as the safety attempted to take
away the deep ball, then threw over the safety and beat the trailing cornerback.

"Those are ones that are going to be on teach tapes for years to come," Brady said. "When we're teaching the concepts in terms of, hey, safety takes it away, you're throwing it over top of the safety, but then you've got to beat the dropkick corner."
Brady initially wasn't sure Moore was going to get there.
"When that ball left his arm, I didn't think he was going to be able to get under it," Brady said. "I thought he overthrew it."
Then Moore found another gear.
"You see a burst," Brady said.
That's part of what the Bills are still learning about their new wide receiver.
Allen and Moore have spent training camp figuring out each other's capabilities, particularly on deep passes. Brady said every receiver is different in how he tracks and plays the ball, making those practice repetitions important for developing the connection between quarterback and receiver.

Even an incompletion can accomplish something.
"There's times where I'm wanting us to pull the trigger and get a feel of what that looks like," Brady said. "Can we take a chance at that? Even if that ball was incomplete, I'd be like, good. I'm liking that we're taking that shot."
This one wasn't incomplete.
"That was a Willie Mays-type of catch," Brady said. "There's no way in hell I would've been able to do that.
"It was impressive."
