Although nothing has been finalized as of Friday morning, a team source indicated that the Buffalo Bills are close to getting right guard O’Cyrus Torrence signed to a contract extension.
Torrence is entering
his fourth season with the team and would be eligible for free agency at the end of 2026, but it now seems like the 2023 second-round draft pick will continue on in Buffalo, and that’s a key development for the Bills.
They have center Connor McGovern and tackles Dion Dawkins and Spencer Brown still under contract for at least two more years, so getting Torrence locked in, probably for another four years, helps the Bills from a continuity standpoint upfront.
The only unsettled spot is left guard, where Alec Anderson and Austin Corbett, both on one-year contracts, continue to battle for the starting role.
“Cybo since day one, there was no hesitation when we drafted him, putting him out there,” said head coach Joe Brady Friday morning before the Bills’ final practice at St. John Fisher University. “And he's handled it. He's one of the top guards in football and last year he battled through so much and was out there with every injury and didn't blink.
“He's as tough as it gets and he's kind of the epitome of what we want here. We have Josh Allen and first and foremost we've got to keep him protected, keep him clean. And I believe you're going to win up front - offensive line, defensive line - and Cybo is a critical component to that. So I know contract negotiations are always ongoing, that's more of a (Brandon) Beane question, but we would love to have him here for the foreseeable future.”
As a rookie, Torrence won the starting right guard job and he has never missed a game. In fact, he played every single offensive snap in 2023 and 2025, and the only snaps he missed came in the 2024 season finale against the Patriots when the Bills rested many starters with their playoff position already locked up.
