Buckingham Properties and the Child Care Council have acquired the Blossom Road Business Center in North Winton Village previously owned by ARTISANworks.
A Rochester-based commercial real estate and property management firm, Buckingham Properties already owns a portfolio of properties in the greater Rochester like The Grove in downtown Rochester and Stoney Creek Plaza in Greece. ARTISANworks will still own and operate its 565 Blossom Road headquarters after giving up its ownership of the business center.
“This transition allows ARTISANworks to remain rooted here while focusing our energy and resources on what we do best — bringing people together through art, creativity, and extraordinary experiences,” said Kimberly Trenholm, CEO and co-founder
of ARTISANworks, in a statement.
Several spaces are available for lease at the roughly 260,000-square-foot business center, ranging up to 3,500 square feet. There are more than 30 tenants already in the space, with just a few available spaces in the building.
The Child Care Council will move from tenant to co-owner, solidifying its presence in the community, CEO Rose Shufelt said in a news release. The nonprofit, founded in 1974, supports child care providers through information, training and resources.
“As a co-owner of the Blossom Road Business Center, we look forward to working with Buckingham Properties to support current and future tenants. Moving from being just a tenant to also a co-owner will enable us to further solidify our community presence in a central location that is easily accessible to area families and child care providers,” Shufelt said.
