The Rochester Auto Show, which organizers say dates back to 1908, has been discontinued, according to a notice posted on the event's website and theRochester Automobile Dealers Association website.
Organizers thank supporters
In a statement, organizers thanked exhibitors, sponsors and community partners for their support over the years.
"We extend our sincere gratitude to the exhibitors, sponsors, and community partners who helped make the show an annual event for consumers in the Rochester area," the statement said.
Organizers said the support and enthusiasm of participants contributed to the show's success and led to many years of collaboration.
Dealers direct consumers to local showrooms
The Rochester-area franchised new-car dealers who produced the event encouraged consumers to visit local dealerships for their
vehicle-shopping needs.
"The Rochester-area franchised new car dealers, who produce the show, invite you to visit their respective dealerships to assist with your next vehicle purchase," the statement said.
No reason for the show's discontinuation was provided.
