A 73-year-old man died in a one-vehicle crash Saturday afternoon in St. Lawrence County, according to New York State Police.
Car struck a tree
Ronald Furgison was driving north on Atwood Road in Morristown around 4:50 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, when he lost control of his car, troopers said.
The vehicle left the road and struck a tree.
Furgison, 73, of Morristown, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Morristown is in St. Lawrence County along the St. Lawrence River in northern New York, near the Canadian border.
Autopsy completed
Furgison's body was taken to Jefferson River Hospital, where an autopsy was conducted Sunday, Sept. 20, by the Onondaga Medical Examiner's Office, according to State Police.
The investigation remains ongoing.
