Police have identified the man who died in a one-car crash on Monroe Avenue in Rochester last week.
Driver identified
Andrew Blythe, 47, of Rochester died following a rollover crash on Monroe Avenue, just south of Interstate 490, around 2:50 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 19, according to Rochester police.
Blythe was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
Vehicle struck utility pole
A preliminary investigation found that Blythe was driving eastbound on Field Street when the vehicle failed to stop at a traffic signal at Monroe Avenue, just south of the highway interchange, police said.
The vehicle crossed Monroe Avenue and struck a utility pole before overturning, officers said.
Police continue to investigate the crash.
