Two new Trader Joe's stores are coming to New York, expanding the popular grocery chain's footprint in the Empire State.
The California-based retailer plans to open new locations in the Syracuse area and Yonkers as part of its latest nationwide expansion. Trader Joe's has already opened several stores across the country this year, including a Long Island location in Suffolk County.
The additions continue the company's steady expansion as demand remains strong for its private-label products and affordable groceries.
Where are the new Trader Joe's stores?
According to Trader Joe's, the new stores will be located in:
- Camillus (Syracuse area): 3515 W. Genesee St.
- Yonkers: 2482 Central Park Ave.
The Camillus location, just west of Syracuse in Onondaga County, will be approximately 9,000 square feet and will become the area's second Trader Joe's. The existing Syracuse-area
store is at 3422 Erie Blvd. E. in DeWitt.
The Yonkers store will span about 10,000 square feet.
When will the stores open?

Trader Joe's has not announced opening dates for either location. Spokeswoman Nakia Rohde said new stores typically open within three to six months after being announced, meaning both locations are expected to open before the end of 2026.
