The Flower City Arts Center plans to welcome 20 ceramic artists from across the U.S. to its 10th annual Flower City Pottery Invitational.
Each year, the historic non-profit organization hosts the invitational, bringing together collectors and clay enthusiasts to meet and talk with experts in the field. Each of the participating artists was chosen by the panel of curators, Lisa Orr, Wes Brown and Garth Johnson.
“We’re excited to present more than 1,000 works celebrating the best in contemporary clay to Rochester art lovers, along with the opportunity to meet and learn from these world-class artists.” Executive Director, Kristin Rapp said in a statement. “This aligns well with our proud history of teaching, offering studio space for makers of all
kinds, and launching creative entrepreneurs from our Center into local small businesses.”
Over a weekend, attendees can expect an artist reception, sale, pottery exhibitions, demonstrations, workshops, and talks by visiting artists. Here are some of the artists you can expect to see presented:
- Olivia Avery
- Paul Briggs
