A pedestrian was killed Monday night after being struck by a vehicle on Lake Avenue in Rochester, according to Rochester police.
Pedestrian struck on Lake Avenue
Police responded around 8:03 p.m. to the intersection of Flower City Park and Lake Avenue for a report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle, said Rochester Police Lt. Michael Azzolina.
Officers found the pedestrian in the roadway. The person was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver's identity was not released, pending notification of family. Police said the driver remained at the scene and was cooperating with the investigation.
Investigation ongoing
The investigation remains in its preliminary stages, and evidence technicians were processing the scene, police said.
No charges have been filed in connection with the fatal incident
