FCA US LLC, a subsidiary of Stellantis, has recalled an estimated 848,511 Jeep, Chrysler, Dodge and Ram vehicles in the United States because of a radio software issue that can affect the vehicles' rearview cameras.
The Aug. 17 recall notice posted on the Stellantis website states that the recall applies to certain 2026 and 2027 model-year vehicles, including vehicles sold in New York.
According to the notice, the radio software issue "may prevent the rearview camera image from appearing on the vehicle's media screen." If the rearview camera image does not appear while reversing, Stellantis advises drivers to remain aware of their surroundings and use their rearview and side mirrors.
About 106,000 additional vehicles in Canada, Mexico and markets
outside North America are also affected by the recall. Stellantis said it is not aware of any accidents or injuries related to the issue.
