Brighton and Hilton look to be on a collision course in Class A-1. The two teams, which will not play during the regular season, are currently slotted in the top 10 in that classification in New York state.
The Bruins secured a ho-hum win over Churchville-Chili, another previously undefeated team, last week to continue their stint around the best five in the state. The Cadets, with their fifth straight blowout win, continue their climb in the rankings.
Elsewhere, there was a shake-up in Class D where Oakfield-Alabama/Elba continues to garner respect. The Aggies, an honorable mention two of the last three weeks, are now Section V's top team in that classification.
