A person was found dead near a disabled vehicle along Interstate 90 in the town of Sheridan Wednesday morning, according to New York State Police.
Sheridan is a town in Chautauqua County in Western New York, located along Lake Erie between Dunkirk and Buffalo.
Person found dead near I-90
Troopers from SP Dunkirk and Troop T were patrolling I-90 around 6:30 a.m. Sept. 9 when they located the disabled vehicle and a deceased person near the roadway, police said.
Troopers and the Bureau of Criminal Investigation have located a suspect vehicle that left the scene.
Police did not provide additional details about the circumstances surrounding the death.
Expect I-90 delays
The investigation is ongoing.
Drivers should expect delays on westbound I-90 near milepost 463 as police investigate, according to
state police.
