VICTOR – The Victor girls volleyball team featured several new setters Oct. 21.
These were not late roster additions. Each was a familiar face to one of the Blue Devils’ eight seniors.
Victor started a senior night tradition after its win over Rush-Henrietta. Each senior took the floor, one by one, to take one last swing on their home court.
Family members served as setters.
Smiles filled the gymnasium as seniors took their turn. But things will soon get serious as the Section V high school playoffs approach.
Victor sits second in the New York Volleyball Coaches Association’s latest state rankings for Class AA. The Blue Devils must first win a sectional bracket containing several of the area’s top programs.
Consider them ready for the challenge. Watch
above as Sam Clark, Vanessa Phan and Julia Mirabelli detail the team’s in-season growth, playoff mindset and more.
