Michael Baker
What is the most important issue facing residents in the community you hope to represent, and what would you do about it if elected?
"Since taking office this year, I’ve been humbled by how many residents have told me they feel heard and welcomed at the Supervisor’s office. Local businesses have also responded positively to having more communication and engagement with Town Hall.
"I believe good government starts with listening. If re-elected, I will continue building on that approach, making information more accessible, communicating more openly, seeking input before decisions are made, and creating more opportunities for residents, businesses, and community organizations to be involved.
"My goal is simple: listen first, communicate openly, and make Town Hall a place where everyone feels welcome and has an opportunity to be heard."
Why should voters choose you over your opponent(s)?
"I believe my record and approach speak for themselves. I am open, transparent, accessible, and committed to listening, and I intend to continue governing that way.
"Town government cannot control the cost of many of the things that put pressure on household budgets, gas, groceries, health insurance, and housing. But it can be a responsible steward of taxpayers’ money. That means carefully evaluating how we spend, maintaining the services and infrastructure we depend on, and making strategic investments that strengthen our community for the long term."
