The New York State Department of Transportation recently announced lane reductions along State Route 153 in Pittsford.
To accommodate a pavement project, Washington Road will be reduced to a single lane, with alternating traffic flows from Main Street in Pittsford to West Commercial Street in East Rochester. Drivers can expect traffic controlled by flagging personnel daily from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Work is expected to be complete by Aug. 21.
Drivers should anticipate travel delays during this time and are advised to seek alternate routes if necessary. Construction activities are weather dependent and subject to change based on conditions.
