Showers and thunderstorms are expected across parts of New York on Saturday, with some storms capable of producing heavy rain and localized flooding, according to the National Weather Service.
The greatest risk for heavy rainfall and flash flooding is across central New York, while the risk remains low across western and north-central New York.

Showers and thunderstorms are expected this afternoon and evening across central New York and northeast Pennsylvania. Some storms could move slowly, allowing heavy rain to fall over a short period and potentially cause localized flash flooding.

No hazardous weather expected next week
The National Weather Service does not currently expect hazardous weather from Sunday through Friday across the regions covered by the outlook.
Weather spotter activation is not expected in western and north-central New York, while spotters in central New York are encouraged to report significant weather conditions to the National Weather Service.
