Burlington will open a store this fall in Pittsford Plaza, 3349 Monroe Ave., plaza owner Wilmorite announced Sept. 16.
The national off-price retailer will occupy a 22,934-square-foot space between Trader Joe’s and a forthcoming Warby Parker store. Wilmorite did not provide an opening date.
This will be Burlington’s sixth location in the greater Rochester area.
Its other stores are in Canandaigua, Greece, Henrietta, Irondequoit and Penfield.
Originally a destination for coats and outerwear, Burlington now sells brand-name apparel for men, women and children, as well as beauty products, home décor, pet products and toys at discounts of up to 60%.
“Burlington is a strong addition to Pittsford Plaza,” said Jay Wilmot, general manager of the plaza. “Their
presence expands our retail mix and gives shoppers even more choices for everyday needs and seasonal trends.”
Founded in 1972 and headquartered in Burlington, New Jersey, the company operates nearly 1,300 stores in 47 states, Washington, D.C., and Puerto Rico.
