The boys soccer regular season has reached its final week. Soon, state rankings will give way to actual playoff results.
With 17 teams listed overall, Section V stacks up well against the rest of New York state. It is the only section with multiple teams ranked No. 1 (East Rochester in Class C, Fillmore in D).
Biggest riser: Greece Arcadia and Spencerport are the big winners in Class AA this week. The Titans jumped five spots and the Rangers six. Arcadia entered the final week of the regular season with nine consecutive wins. This is the team's first appearance in the top 10 since the opening week of 2022.
Biggest faller: Geneseo dropped six spots in Class C, even though the Blue Devils haven't lost in nearly a month. The team's only defeat this
season was Sept. 17, a 1-0 loss to state-ranked Fillmore.
