Summerville Grill was a popular destination in Irondequoit's Summerville neighborhood for more than 20 years until it closed in 2022, when owner Dan Garden retired. After that, Fifth Frame Brewing Company opened in the fall of 2024 and closed on Jan. 1, 2026.
Now Summerville Grill is returning with new owners.
Diego Guerrero, Nicole Ristuccia and Dena Marou, all Irondequoit residents, have teamed up to renovate the building at 5370 St. Paul Blvd. Guerrero, who will serve as general manager, said the building has been given new floors, a new roof, new ADA-compliant bathrooms, new electrical work, new windows, new HVAC and new pavement. "It was a lot of interior work," he said, but the new owners have been buoyed by encouragement from the community.
The layout will be similar to the original footprint of Summerville Grill, with a bar one one side and dining room on the other.
The menu will be familiar comfort food, Italian-American fare and seafood. It will include some recipes from the previous incarnation, shared by Garden, who also gave his blessing for them to use the name. There will be new menu items as well.
A grand opening is planned for Oct. 14, with some soft opening events tentatively planned before then.
