Section V's high school boys volleyball powers carry high expectations, and for good reason.
Released Sept. 24, the New York Volleyball Coaches Association placed a Section V team atop its initial 2026 state rankings for both large and small schools.
Penfield topped the rankings for Division 1, or Class A. Fairport followed at No. 2.
Spencerport, meanwhile, was No. 1 in Division 2. That includes classes B1 and B2.
