The countdown is on for the premiere of 'Survivor 51,' which will include two New York cast members for 2026.
The Emmy-winning competition show will feature a new theme, "Open Era," which means that any advantage or twist from previous seasons can come into play at any time, making for a total surprise gameplay.
This year's 21-person cast includes both Americans and Canadians from all walks of life, including a criminal defense attorney, actors, a sociology professor, a former WWE star, a farmer, New York's own Yankees executive Mike Pinsky and more. The 21 individuals will be seperated into tribes where they will all compete in challenges and vote each other out in order to win the $1 million prize.

2 New Yorkers join 'Survivor' 51 cast
New York is making its presence known on the upcoming Season 51 of 'Survivor.'
The CBS show announced its cast list, which includes two contestants from the Empire State:
- Mike Pinsky, New York City: 32-year-old Yankees assistant director of baseball operations
- Ori Jean-Charles, Spring Valley, NY: 27-year-old model and fitness coach
