The entrance ramp from Monroe Avenue to Interstate 590 northbound in Brighton will close for several days beginning Sept. 30.
In March, Gov. Kathy Hochul announced a $51.5 million project to repair and replace a series of bridges along I-590 in the Town of Brighton. The project will replace the two bridges that carry the highway over Monroe Avenue and rehabilitate the road that carries I-590 over Allens Creek Road.
To accommodate this project, the entrance ramp will close from Monroe Avenue to I-590 north in Brighton. Drivers can expect the ramp to be closed from 6 a.m. Sept. 30 until Oct. 5.
Drivers can follow the posted detour utilizing Clover Street and Elmwood Avenue. Drivers leaving businesses located between Clover Street and the closed ramp
should follow the posted detour utilizing Allens Creek Road, Clover Street and Elmwood Avenue.
Construction activities are weather dependent and subject to change based on conditions.
