The City of Rochester is giving the community the opportunity to provide input as it kicks off the 2027-28 fiscal year budget planning process.
The feedback will help inform where money is spent. The information will be compiled into the city's Community Input Report and shared with the mayor and his administration to inform the 2027-28 budget.
The final version of the report will be published in the budget, which is set to be presented to the Rochester City Council for review in May 2027.
Residents can complete an online survey through Nov. 9 or participate in a telephone town hall Oct. 26.
Community members are also encouraged to visit the Office of Management and Budget table at the following events:
- Community Resource Fair at 11 a.m., Sept. 19 at 63 Thomas St.
- Roc the Block at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 23 at Parcel 5
- Fall Fest at 11 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 26 at Parcel 5
- Westside Farmers Market at 4 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 6 at 831 Genesee St.
- Rochester Public Market at 8:30 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 10 at 280 N. Union St.
