A Wisconsin-based manufacturing firm has acquired three Rochester-area businesses: TCS Industries, TCS Electronics and Precision Grinding & Manufacturing Corp.
TCS Industries and TCS Electronics have about 35 years of experience in the Rochester area, focused on precision CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, welding and electro-mechanical box builds. The two facilities total more than 200,000 square feet.
"Joining Fathom gives us the resources and broader capabilities to build on that success while maintaining the customer focus and operating discipline that have defined our business," said Manoj Shekar, founder and president of TCS, in a statement. "We’re excited about the opportunities ahead for our employees and customers.”
Precision Grinding
and Manufacturing brings almost 60 years of experience in precision manufacturing, like milling, turning, grinding, lapping and specialized finishing. Their work supports aerospace and defense customers.
“Our family has spent nearly six decades building a business known for precision, reliability and customer service,” said Todd Hockenberger, corporate vice president of PGM, in a statement. “Fathom shares those values and brings the resources and broader capabilities to help us take the next step. We look forward to investing in our people, expanding our capabilities and supporting the next generation of aerospace and defense programs.”
The acquisition of the TCS businesses and PGM bring Fathom’s total footprint to 10 facilities and about 700 employees nationwide. The company is based in Hartland, Wisconsin, and focuses on similar advanced manufacturing services to its newest acquisitions.
