Wait, summer's over and Halloween is almost here? Hard to believe.
But at least Canandaigua eases the transition and really gets into the spooky, but fun season in a big way, with celebrations in the city and town on Saturday.
And the Canandaigua Farmers Market also closes its summer season with a Halloween event on the big day.
Here is what's coming up.
Fall Into Canandaigua
The annual downtown Fall Into Canandaigua event always seems to draw big crowds of costumed fun seekers.
They will be coming to the right place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24.
Pumpkin decorating and the Amazing Joe Magic Show start the festivities off at 11 a.m. at Commons Park.
The must-see kids costume parade starts at noon at Commons Park with a contest coming after the kids visit businesses
for treats.
Canandaigua robotics teams will be in action throughout the day. The Ontario County Sheriff's Office K9 team, the Witches of Waters Edge, REPCO creepy wildlife encounters and more will be on hand for demonstrations and performances.
Don't miss the Monster Mash dance-off at 1 p.m., also in Commons Park.

Halloween at Outhouse Park in the town of Canandaigua
The town of Canandaigua Special Events Committee is hosting its annual Halloween event from 2 to 5 p.m. Oct. 24 at Richard P. Outhouse Memorial Park and Motion Junction Playground, 2550 Outhouse Road, Canandaigua.
Visitors are encouraged to wear costumes.
The free event will be held rain or shine and includes community organizations and businesses that will welcome children with activities and trunk-or-treat fun.
Here's what else is planned.
Magician Mike Dedee will perform, and Wood Library will offer arts and crafts and Children’s Librarian Rachel Brill will tell stories. Visit the Cheshire Community Action Team's haunted house. The Witchy Women of the Finger Lakes also will be there.
Hungry? The Company Store at the Motion Junction concession area and food trucks will be available.

Trick-or-treating at the Canandaigua Farmers Market
As hard as it is to believe that Halloween is almost here, it's even harder to believe that there's only two more Saturdays of the summer Canandaigua Farmers Market.
Oh, where has summer gone?
The market, which operates under the Mill Street pavilion, will be open 9 a.m. to noon Oct. 24 and Oct. 31. Trick-or-treating will be held during market hours on Halloween.
The winter market starts Nov. 7, from 10 to 11 a.m. every other Saturday at the same location until May 22, 2027.
